Does your public sector information technology project deserve to be acknowledged? 

Submit your project for the 2025 Commonwealth Technology Awards! These awards recognize the top public sector information technology programs and projects completed over the last year. Use this form to make your submission ahead of the July 31 deadline. 

Winners will be announced at the 28th annual Commonwealth of Virginia Innovative Technology Symposium (COVITS) on Sept. 16 in Richmond, VA. This event brings together public sector leaders and technology professionals to explore innovative solutions and best practices for solving challenges faced by state and local government. 

There are four award categories, with each recognizing one local and one state winner. Award categories include: 

• IT in Serving the Customer and Business 
• 創新技術運用  
• Innovative Use of Data, Analytics & AI  
• 網絡安全和隱私措施  

Rules and guidelines:  

1. All nominations must be submitted by a recognized Virginia state or local public body. 
2. All nominated projects must now be in use and have quantifiable outcomes.  
3. Only one nomination per category per governmental entity. 
4. The same project may not be submitted in more than one category. 
5. Applicable nominations should be from project or initiatives that were started January 2024 – present. 
6. Any supporting documentation can be linked in the "URLs, SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS" section. No additional documentation will be reviewed.
